Jumping Jack Flash 2 Target

Driving back from the 2006 Washington State IDPA match, I started to think about their use of a Clamshell target in a particularly fun stage.  It turned out to be a great target for IDPA, and the Jumping Jack Flash 2 Target was born on that long drive.  In another month, the 2006 Idaho State IDPA match also used a Clamshell target to good effect.  That reinforced the need for me to make one or two for my local shooting club.

While this is not a Clamshell target, it does somewhat the same thing.  The major difference in this target and a typical Clamshell target is that on the JJF2 target, the time it takes for the targets to rise up from horizontal is programmable.  The targets can each be set independently to rise almost immediately, or rise very slowly, or any speed in between.
