Range Reservation Policy and Form

SAFETY

FIRST AND FOREMOST: firearms and firearm related activities are inherently dangerous. As the event organizer you are responsible to ensure you have an adequate number of properly trained firearm safety and medical/EMT personnel on hand for your event. Parma Rod and Gun Club does not provide these individuals.

If you do not know the number to the local Parma police/fire/rescue or you cannot describe to a responding agency how to get to the range, please print out an Emergency Plan Sheet and have it with you while at the range.

NOTE: Not all cellular services work at the range. Check yours to be sure!

Additional Conditions

  1. Event must carry their own insurance and list Parma Rod and Gun Club as an Additional Insured. A copy of the policy must be faxed or mailed to the club secretary prior to the event. (This is only required once during the policy terms regardless of the number of range events).
  2. Everyone must follow the Posted Range Rules, this includes the rules against alcohol use and the use of incendiary or armor piercing ammunition.
  3. It should go without saying, but please, police your area after your event.
  4. If you are a non-profit group wanting to use the range, include that in the comments section, and we will evaluate waiving your range fee. This is usually not a problem for 4H, Boy Scouts,  or Hunters Ed groups using the range.
  5. All events to be run at the range need to be submitted through the Range Reservation form. Any event not properly scheduled can be shut down by a Parma Board member and the member running the event can have their membership revoked.

Fee Schedule

Unless exempted, all requests for range use will be subject to the following 2-part fee schedule:

Shooter Fee
    • Event fee of <$100—$5 per shooter per day
    • Event fee of ≥$100—10% of the event fee
    • Examples:
      • 2-day shotgun event with $75 event fee—the shooter fee would be $10 ($5 × 2 days)
      • 1-day carbine event with $75 event fee—the shooter fee would be $5 ($5 × 1 day)
      • 5-day handgun event with $1200 event fee—the shooter fee would be $120 (10% of $1200)
      • 1-day armorers event with $150 event fee—the shooter fee would be $15 (10% of $150)

Range Use Fee
    • One Section of the Range—no additional range use fee
    • Two Sections of the Range—$100 range use fee per day
    • Entire Range (three or more sections)—$200 range use fee per day
    • Clubhouse/Kitchen Area—please submit request for quote

Total cost will be calculated after your event is complete at which time you will be invoiced with the option of payment via credit card or check.

Important

REQUESTS SHOULD BE MADE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.

All requests by external entities to reserve any section of the range will require Board of Directors approval. Club disciplines that request to reserve the Main Rifle line or two or more distinct areas of the range will require Board of Directors approval.
